Grit: The Fuel for Progress
STEP 1
Meet Your Coach
Schedule an appointment, via this website, with your coach, either online or in person at our Seattle Coffee Shop location in Foreshore, Cape Town.
We will:
-
Review the questionnaire you filled out, covering medical history, running background, goals, and achievements.
-
Discuss your weekly schedule and available time for training, including both running and strength training.
-
Address any additional questions or concerns you may have, ensuring clarity and understanding of the training process.
After meeting your coach:

-
Receive a link via email to download the V.O2 app after meeting your coach.
-
Input information about your runs into the app to determine your fitness level and required paces for training sessions.
-
Access your weekly training schedule, including various forms of running training like interval, threshold, VO2 max, easy runs, and strength training.
-
Receive automatic updates to your schedule each week with the new program.
-
Sync your app with your smartwatch for seamless tracking; runs will automatically upload to your app.
-
Your coach can review and comment on your runs, and you can communicate with your coach within the app for any inquiries.
-
Your coach can assess your pace, heart rate, and identify areas for improvement based on your runs.

STEP 3
Join Our Community and Weekly Group Coaching Session
-
Join our exclusive, in-person group coaching sessions available throughout the week for registered coaching participants.

-
Each runner will receive their prescribed pace for the training session via the app.
-
The coach designs the workout, and runners ensure they maintain their designated pace.
-
If a registered runner is unable to attend a session, it will be included in their weekly schedule for them to complete independently, with insights and guidance provided by the coach through the app.

-
'Return to Run' group coaching session is held weekly to provide support, guidance, and motivation.
-
Road-runners group coaching session will focus on speed training, hills, and interval training, led by the coach.
-
Trail run coaching session will focus on running technique, speed, interval, and threshold training, at varying locations.

-
Weekend running crews are open to all, alternating between road runners and trail runners, with the coach's participation followed by coffee and chats.
